The role of data in AI

Everywhere you look, Salesforce (and every other software vendor) is talking about the power of AI and how it's going to revolutionise productivity and improve the experience for customers and workers alike. It's tough to argue differently in the face of relentless demonstrations of beautifully delivered AI workflows and perfect content delivered to your customers with the click of a button. Super simple, right?

I don't disagree. However, I would like to point out a few home truths. If we think about our own experience as human beings, we made some terrible choices in our youth (the details of which will never be discussed here…!). As we get older, hopefully, we get better at choosing what's best for us and we improve our lot in life. The only way we do this is with experience (try as they might, parents can never convince us to learn from their mistakes; as a species, we seem determined to make those same mistakes ourselves!).

Experience is just more data to work with

AI solutions are exactly the same - the most beautifully written algorithm that delivers mind-boggling results will always be outperformed by a less sophisticated algorithm that has access to ten times the data. In this article, we explore the ways that Salesforce Data Cloud can help you access more data and lay the foundation for the spectacular AI-driven improvements your business hopes for.

The Importance of Data in AI

AI thrives on data. The more data you feed an AI, the more it learns, adapts, and improves. This is because AI models identify patterns and make predictions based on the information they are trained on. Without sufficient data, even the most advanced algorithms can't perform to their full potential. Think of data as the fuel for AI – without it, the engine sputters and stalls.

How Salesforce Data Cloud Enhances Data Access

Salesforce Data Cloud is designed to break down data silos and integrate information from various sources into a single, unified view. This comprehensive data landscape is crucial for powering effective AI solutions. Here’s how Salesforce Data Cloud can help your business harness the true power of AI:
